Welcome to HNdb ("we," "our," or "us"). These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the website, [thehndb.com] (https://thehndb.com) (the "Site"), and the services offered through the Site (collectively, the "Services"). By accessing or using our Site, you agree to comply with these Terms. If you do not agree, you must discontinue using the Site.

1. Use of Our Services
   HNdb provides a platform that enables users claim their participation for events, and receive certificates on successful verification. By using the Site, you agree to:
   • Use the Site only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.
   • Provide accurate and truthful information when registering on the website and claiming participation for events.
   • Not engage in any behaviour that may harm the Site, the services, or other users.
2. User Accounts
   To use certain features of the Site, you may need to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms or engage in any misuse of our Services.
3. Event Participation and Certificates
   HNdb provides a trusted platform for event participation verification and certificate issuance. Event organizers can validate participation, while users can claim certificates for their verified attendance. Participation by Individuals: You are responsible for ensuring your participation in events as per the requirements set by event organizers. HNdb is not liable for disputes related to event attendance or participation. Participation by Organisation: Organisations are represented by individuals whose information is collected at the time of organisation registration. Organisations are responsible for ensuring, creating actual events and approving participants who have actually attended the events. They are also required to check the level of participation like speaker, panellist, etc and approve only those who have actually participated in that role. Certificates: Certificates are issued and has to be based on verified participation. If you believe a certificate has been incorrectly issued or denied, please contact the event organizer directly.
4. Intellectual Property
   All content on the Site, including text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of HNdb or the organisational home of HNdb and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Limited License: Individuals are granted a limited, non-exclusive, and non-transferable license to use the Site and its content for personal, non-commercial purposes. Organisations are granted a limited nonexclusive and nontransferable license to use the site and its content for commercial purposes, only and where they are claiming to be the sponsor of an event. Prohibited Use: You may not copy, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from the Site’s content without our prior written consent.
5. Prohibited Activities
   While using the Site, you agree not to:
   • Attempt to interfere with the proper functioning of the Site, including engaging in any hacking or unauthorized access.
   • Upload or transmit any content that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, or harmful.
   • Impersonate any person or entity or falsely state your affiliation with a person or organization.
   We reserve the right to monitor, investigate, and take action against any prohibited activities, including suspending or terminating your access to the Site.
6. Third-Party Links and Services
   The Site may contain links to third-party websites or services that are not owned or controlled by HNdb. We are not responsible for the content, privacy policies, or practices of third-party sites. Your interactions with these third parties are governed by their respective terms and conditions.

In no event will our total liability to you for all claims exceed the amount paid by you (if any) to use the Services.

   You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless HNdb, its affiliates, directors, employees from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the Site or breach of these Terms.

    We may terminate or suspend your access to the Site or Services at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to our interests or other users. Upon termination, your right to use the Site will immediately cease.
11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
    The governing laws will be the laws applicable in India as applicable and it will be managed within the jurisdiction of Kolkata courts. For any dispute resolution initially, there will be one person arbitrator appointed by HNdb for which the necessary cost will be borne by the party who is raising the dispute.
